Rock Climbing
Climbing is permitted in designated areas of the Hawkins Preserve. Special rules apply to protect this beautiful area from damage, and to preserve the privilege of climbing on this privately owned tract of land.
Care must be taken to first obtain a climbing permit from the Four Corners Climbing Coalition:
1. Download the waiver and application form here (PDF).
2. View the Hawkins Preserve Climbing Orientation film below.
3. Contact Paul Morey at (970)739-4809 to turn in waiver, receive orientation and a permit.
Failure to follow these steps may result in legal action or closing of the area to climbing.
