Naat'sii'liid Dancers
Schedule: 7:30pm Fridays
Admission: Free
This Navajo dance group is led by Sheldon Manuelito from Shiprock, New Mexico. Naat'sii'liid means "Rainbow" and the reason becomes apparent when they first reveal their colorful and very authentic regalia! At the beat of a single hand-held drum, they perform traditional Navajo dances such as "Basket", "Ribbon" and social dances. These types of dances go to the very root of Navajo culture and for most visitors are hard to find anywhere else but on the Navajo reservation during private ceremonies.
Roach Dancers
Schedule: 7:30pm Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Admission: Free
The Roach Dancers are from Gallup, New Mexico, and are dancing pow-wow style. Norman Roach is a 12-time winner at pow-wows, and just won again this Memorial Day Weekend. He is Lakota and Romona is Navajo. They both are middle school teachers.
